Farming – keeping animals

As a farmer you can decide on what type of animals to keep depending on the space and availability of feeding materials. Some animals to keep are chickens either Kienyenji or broilers, rabbits, pigs, cow, goat and sheep, quails, pets like cat and dogs, ducks, horse, donkeys.
You can then make money through

  • Selling them to customers directly. You can also sell to re-seller.
  • Chickens can give eggs which can be sold directly to customers or sold in bulk to shops or re-sellers. Meat can also be sold to butcheries or to customers directly. You can also hatch chick and sell them. Their droppings also form good manure which can be sold.
  • Rabbits can be sold to butcheries or customers. Their droppings also form good manure which can be sold to farmers.
  • Cows, goat produce milk which is on high demand, Sold directly to re-sellers or on retail basis. Also meat is on high demand in butcheries, hotels and clubs.
